I've been married for 37 years. Julie and I have 2 children; Megan, a nurse in Madison, and Jon, a senior banker. We've lived in Eau Claire, Wisconsin for the last 24 years. I am a professor of ethics and leadership for a college in Eau Claire. I'm currently in my 23rd year here. My wife, Julie, teaches in the Medical Assistant Program at the same college for the last 15 years. Julie and I met right after graduation from high school. I had been a pizza maker at Happy Joe's in Mason City and I was offered an assistant manager position at a Happy Joe's in Minneapolis. Julie was a waitress there.
Over the years I have had the opportunity to travel around the country speaking on the topic of leadership and union organizing to college instructors on campus in several states. Both Julie and I love what we do and we cannot see doing anything else (except maybe retiring!).
I have (mostly) fond memories of my time at MCHS; scooping the loop, Misbehaving with Don Nedved and Jim Sutton, Friday nights at Pizza Hut...
I haven't been back to Mason City in several years. I need to make the time to come down and see what's changed!

After living in Clear Lake for several years, Mark (class of '77,) and I moved to West Des Moines with our three children. Our eldest, Tim, has moved back to North Iowa, so we get to see him occasionally. We have a daughter in the Navy in Sicily, and our youngest is in Orlando after graduating from Full Sail U.
Mark is a building inspector, and I am working with the Boy Scouts in the Mid-Iowa Council. We have one odd dog.

It is hard to believe I have landed permanently (for now) in Las Vegas, NV, and my husband, John of 13 years (together 21 years), and I have a second home in Del Mar, CA, right on the ocean in northern San Diego county.
I am currently Administrative Director of Emergency Services and Trauma at Sunrise Hospital & Medical Center and have been here just a mere year and a half. Before that the director of emergency services for Southern Hills Hospital for 2 ½ years. Before this adventure I was a flight nurse and regional clinical/business director for Mercy Air, an Air Methods trauma helicopter and transport company in California and Nevada for over a decade and I was also working in our Level I trauma center for UMC here in Las Vegas as well.
That being said I experienced a life altering event when our hospital treated over 216 victims of the Route 91 Mandalay Bay shooting on October 1, 2017. I have been traveling all over the country since then speaking about what changed our Las Vegas community, as well as our hearts and souls.
I do not have children or grandchildren but have 26 thoroughbred racehorses in California (Rocking Dorita just had her second foal), and 2 barrel horses, one in Las Vegas and one in Del Mar, that I compete with in barrel racing, pole bending, western dressage and ranch pleasure.
I am just a dissertation away from my doctorate in nursing practice as an adult/geriatric acute care nurse practitioner.
Our 18 year old Cocker Spaniel is living out his days with us as well. If I am not riding in my free time which is my true passion, I love to golf and outdrive John.
